FCCLA is Lead State Agency for Global Youth Service Day FCCLA has been chosen a Lead State Agency for Global Youth Service Day for the 7th year. Global Youth Service day is April April 24 to April 26, 2009 It is a celebration of over 100 countries of youth service projects! MN FCCLA will be encouraging youth serving organizations to conduct service projects in the "semester of service" period of spring 2009. MN FCCLA will promote service-learning and educate coalition members about how to make their educational and leadership projects service-learning projects. MN FCCLA will organize a coalition (at least 10 organizations, including youth representatives), by conducting a comprehensive outreach effort to organizations (K-12 schools, universities, nonprofits, and others) resulting in an event that will engage at least 600 volunteers. Our 2009 goal is at least 8500 youth volunteers.
