State Officers meet Governor at Martin Luther King Day
State Officers and advisors participated in the annual Martin Luther King Day celebrations in St Paul to honor service-learning and also to volunteer at Second Harvest food bank.
Being at the Martin Luther King Jr. rally/ parade I felt like I needed to work harder to make discrimination against diversity a thing of the past. One speaker that really stood out to me was the mayor of St. Paul. Who spoke about how the fight for discrimination against diversity is not yet over. He said we need to stand together to fight against people who believe it is over. The Martin Luther King Jr. parade was also a lot of fun. We sang songs and held up signs with youth service and FCCLA on them. It was just plain and simple fun and a way to motive people to stop discrimination.
