December 2011 Shadow Day 2012   A valuable experience for FCCLA members has been to check out careers in public service, shadow a legislator and learn how laws are developed. This all happens with Shadow Day,February 28. Apply to be a part of this experience!     December 2011 FCCLA featured on WCCO´s Life to the Max show!   The LIfe to the Max tv show (WCCO TV) featured a segment about FCCLA leaders on Dec 3rd.     December 2011 State Conference 2012   April 19-21, 2012 is the State FCCLA Conference at the Doubletree Hotel (Formerly Sheraton Bloomington).     December 2011 MN FCCLA Chosen to serve as a Lead State Agency for Global Youth Service Day 2012   Global Youth Service Day - MN FCCLA has been chosen as a Lead State Sgency for Global Youth Service Day for the 10th year! GYSDAY is an annual campaign that celebrates and mobilizes the millions of children and youth who improve their communities each day of the year through service and service-learning. Established in the United States 1988, and globally in 2000, Global Youth Service Day is the largest service event in the world, and the only day of service dedicated to children and youth. GYSD is celebrated each year in over 100 countries.     December 2011 FCCLA State Officers chosen for National Teen Distracted Driving Prevention Team   NOYS (National Organization for Youth Safety) has chosen MN FCCLA as one of the National Teen Distracted Driving Prevention Teams.     November 2011 MINNEAPOLIS hosts a National FCCLA Cluster Meeting   November 11-12 were the dates of a National FCCLA Cluster Meeting at the Minneapolis Convention Center. Members from throughout the nation came to be in attendance of this high energy event. The panel of Holly Pardue, Joy Rikala and Patty Wetterling spoke and interacted with the 180 youth leaders, advsiors and chaperones in a fascinating discussion of the issue of school violence.     July 2011 News from National FCCLA Conference in Anaheim   New National President is from Minnesota!
